"When my mother entered long term care with advanced Alzheimer’s, she reverted to speaking Greek, the language of her youth, yet her caregivers only spoke English. I became determined to build a unique translation tool that would help front line workers communicate easily with non-English speaking patients, those just like my mother."

After battling Alzheimers my Mother reverted to her mother tongue of Greek. Voula, my mother lost use of her English and French. Alzheimers made communication difficult. Lack of communication led to frustration. Which in turn manifested into confusion. At times confusion developed into misdirected aggressive behavior, only because Voula did not understand what was asked of her. The long term care home asked me to translate words and post them on the wall. That suggestion and one year later. The poster was developed. We hope they help your family and friends.
